With the ground still moist from the rain yesterday, I went out for a run in the morning to start the month of October. It wasn’t too strenuous but I still felt the thin air. I started to wonder if that’s all in my head..
It was sunny the whole day, which was more than welcome after so many days of rain and gloomy conditions. So hello, October. Thanks for a sunny start to the month.
The flood watch warning seemed to have passed and we ventured out to do some necessary shopping earlier. On our way back the sky was still covered with heavy, threatening dark clouds. But there were slivers of blue sky.
All darkness will pass. A sliver of hope will only be the beginning.
The Sunlight broke through the clouds for a brief moment this morning. That was pretty much the most we’ve had for today. It’s been raining on and off since last night and the forecast for the next few days is not promising, either. Living here in Santa Fe, we always said that we needed rain. But these long, dreary, cloudy days are undermining the will to remain optimistic for the future..
The weather in the past few days has been unstable. The sky is often covered with thick, gray clouds. Without the sun, it’s getting chilly sitting on the porch sometimes. Today is the last Sunday of September. We came back from our trip to Portugal four days ago and we managed jet lag quite well so far. I did feel the thin air while I was out running this morning. It seems that’s one thing I always have to re-adjust every time we return from a long overseas trip. And somehow it feels like it’s only getting more and more difficult..
We came across this mess not far from our neighborhood. I have no idea what happened or how to even analyze the scene. These colorful blocks all have sentences on them and they seem to be for a game supposedly played by two individuals in an intimate relationship. There’s only one portable camping chair, which apparently is torched. What a bizarre thing to find..
Weather has been unstable since we got back from our trip. Couldn’t work in the garden as originally planned, I had plenty of time staring at the computer trying to correct a hotel bill which we were overcharged for our stay. Being in different time zones and the difference in languages, it all didn’t make it easy to solve the problem..
We are grateful that all is well at home. It seems that we have received quite some moisture while we were away. And the temperature has drastically dropped..
